Payments, shipping & use
Purchase
In order to purchase an art work at jacobusfrida.com you must fill in your personal information and payment information. Once your order has been placed you will receive an auto-generated order confirmation via email.
Confirmation
When confirming your purchase you are entering into a binding agreement for your purchase. If you wish to change or cancel your order you must contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not been shipped, we will cancel it for you. Shipping costs or other fees will not be returned.
Colours
We cannot guarantee that colours in the website are fully equivalent to the art work's actual colours. This depends partly on the colour settings of your computer or other device. Also each art work is unique and variations in the surface structure and edges might occur.
Shipments
All art works are send from The Netherlands and can be shipped within The Netherlands and Belgium. Delivery charges will appear from the order confirmation before you pay. All orders are delivered to your private address or an access point.
Delivery
The delivery guidelines below are an estimate and we do our very best to achieve these, but times can differ depending on conditions which are out of the control for Jacobus Frida: The Netherlands (6-8 weeks) and Belgium (8-10 weeks).
Damaged deliveries
We ship all our art works in protective packaging to secure they will arrive in perfect condition. However, if you for any reason receive a damaged art work which does not correspond to your original purchase, please contact us at info@jacobusfrida.com as soon as possible or the latest within 2 days from the date of received delivery. Please document all damages, including the outside packaging and include them in the email to us. Without images of both product and packaging, we will not be able to issue a refund or replace your product.
Undelivered orders
If you refuse to accept the delivery, the package will be returned to us. If you wish a refund, you will still need to notify us. In this case, shipping costs or other fees will not be returned. You will be responsible to cover a second delivery attempt if you forget to pick up your package in time or your package is returned to us because of an incorrect delivery address.
Use
Mounting
We strongly recommend only professionals to handle and mount our art works to the wall. Mounting should be carried out by a qualified person, because wrong mounting may lead to that the art work will fall down and cause injury or damage. Fastening devices (screws and wall plugs) for the wall are not included since different wall materials require different types of fastening devices. Use screws and wall plugs suitable for your wall. Assess the suitability off the wall to ensure that the screws and wall plugs will withstand the forces generated. For advice on suitable fastening devices, contact a professional.
Do not place the art works outside, close to fire, close to water or in any humid environment, as the art works respond to touch, sunlight, humidity and temperature.
Carefully use gloves when moving or mounting an art work to prevent scratches and pay attention to fragile edges.
Warning
Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from art works falling down. Jacobus Frida is explicitly excluded from all liability for any damage caused by our art work, directly or indirectly. To prevent our art works from falling down they must be correctly mounted to a wall.
Fragility
Our art works are fragile and respond to touch, sunlight, humidity and temperature. Over time, the wooden art works may bend slightly, and the surfaces may change and react to the surroundings with a change in colour and small crackles in the plaster. Natural variations in organic materials are not considered defects. Jacobus Frida is explicitly excluded from all liability for any damage or loss that such defects or variations may cause, directly or indirectly.
Care
In general, please avoid touching our art works. Always carefully use gloves when moving or mounting an art work. Use only a feather duster to clean our art works, and note that water/fluid will damage our art works.
